Getting Used to

Bile Acid Sequestrants


Avoid Adverse Effects:

  1. Suggest low doses (two scoops q PM).

  2. Suggest several preparations to improve tolerance.

  3. Provide support for side effects, i.e.

    4. Constipation:
    Stool softeners (If stool hard)
    Fiber
    Increase water intake
    Mineral Oil

  4. Suggest dosing schedules if taking other Rx.

  5. Use Information Sheet (enclosed).
