Driving Directions

From the New Jersey Turnpike: Take exit 9-New Brunswick to Route 18 North.

From Route 1: Take Route 1 North or South to Route 18 North.

From Route 18 North: Take Route 18 North to the New Street exit. Proceed to the first light and make a right onto Nielson Street. Follow Nielson to the light and turn left onto Route 27/Albany Street. Proceed on Route 27/Albany Street to the fourth light (At the railroad station, Albany becomes French Street.) Make a left to park in the Paterson Street deck or proceed one block and make a right onto Plum Street, parking deck on the left.

From the Garden State Parkway North or South: Take the GSP North to exit 127 or South to exit 129 to I-440 West (I-440 West becomes I-287 North). Follow directions from Route 287 North.

From Route 287 North: Take I-287 North to Exit 9, Bound Brook/Highland Park; turn left at the end of the exit onto River Road..**

From Route 287 South: Take Exit 9, Bound Brook/Highland Park, bear right at the end of the exit onto River Road.**

Route 18 South from River Road: Follow River Road until it ends. Make a right onto Route 27 South/Raritan Avenue/Albany Street. Follow Route 27 to the sixth light, make a left to park at the Paterson Street deck or proceed one block and make a right onto Plum Street, parking deck on the left.

NJ Transit: New Brunswick is on the Northeast Corridor line between New York and Philadelphia for Amtrak and NJ Transit Service. By Amtrak, passengers will have to change at Philadelphia, Trenton or Metropark stations for NJ Transit service into New Brunswick.

Walking Directions

Paterson Street Deck: Exit deck and turn right onto Paterson Street. Walk one block to Joyce Kilmer N. and make left. Continue under railroad overpass to the light at French Street. Cross at light, turn right and walk up pathway on your left to Little Albany Street. You will be met along the way by volunteers in case assistance is needed.

Plum Street Deck (Please be aware there is some construction being done across the street from this deck): Exit deck, turn right and walk one block towards French Street. Turn left onto French Street and walk 2 blocks towards event on your left. You will be met along the way by volunteers in case assistance is needed.

New Brunswick Train Station: New Brunswick is on the Northeast Corridor railroad line between New York and Philadelphia. Upon exiting the station, cross Easton Avenue at the light, bear right and proceed under the railroad overpass. Make immediate left onto Little Albany St. and walk one block to the event on your left.

Shuttle Bus Information from Piscataway/Busch Campus

Transportation to and from the Piscataway/Busch Campus will be available for all faculty, staff and students of UMDNJ and Rutgers. Shuttles will pick-up passengers beginning at 12:30 p.m. in front of the Center for Advanced Biotechnology (CABM), 679 Hoes Lane, Piscataway and drop passengers at the corner of Somerset and Little Albany Streets in New Brunswick. The shuttles will run continuously until 5 p.m. (except during the ceremony).

PLEASE NOTE: Portable handicapped restrooms will be available on site. Additional restrooms are located across the street from the ceremony on the first floor of The Cancer Institute of New Jersey on Little Albany Street.
