About the Department of Dermatology

The Department of Dermatology provides high quality medical and surgical dermatologic services for the diseases of the skin, hair and nails within its outpatient facility. These services include general dermatology, medical dermatology, pediatric dermatology, patch testing, dermatologic surgery, dermatopathology and cosmetic procedures. The department’s research activities include clinical investigations of novel therapeutics including the use of biologics and non-invasive tools in the management of psoriasis and melanoma, respectively.

About Robert Wood Johnson Medical School

About the UMDNJ merger with Rutgers University

A recent statute, the New Jersey Medical and Health Sciences Education Restructuring Act, provides for most schools and units of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey to be transferred to Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, on July 1, 2013. The integration of these two outstanding universities will build on the rich history, talent, and expertise of both institutions and signals the beginning of a promising era for New Jersey. Joining the strengths and centers of excellence of these universities will enhance collaborative learning and research opportunities and result in a powerful institution that will set a new national standard for medical and health sciences education
