On-Call Coverage
PGY I residents assume the same on-call responsibilities as those interns in the Departments in which they are rotating. In the PGY II year, the resident is on 24 hour call once every five to seven nights in the Acute Psychiatric Service of the University Behavioral HealthCare Center. The resident is relieved of all clinical duties post 24 hour call. By the PGY III year, night call is reduced to one to two nights per month on the Acute Psychiatric Service. PGY IV residents do not usually take call.
