Location

The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is located in historically rich central New Jersey. New Brunswick, a city of approximately 50,000 residents, is home to the Johnson and Johnson world headquarters and Rutgers University. The city contains diverse neighborhoods, four star restaurants, and a popular cultural arts center. It is located on the banks of the Raritan River, and is surrounded by a mixture of suburban and rural areas. New Brunswick is conveniently located midway between New York City and Philadelphia, and is easily accessible by the New Jersey Turnpike, Amtrak, and Newark Airport.

If you prefer to watch sports, the New Jersey Meadowlands Sports Complex hosts the New York Giants and New York Jets as well as the New Jersey Nets and New Jersey Devils. Rutgers University and nearby Princeton University also host a wide array of athletic events throughout the year.

The State Theater and George Street Playhouse in New Brunswick and McCarter Theater in Princeton offer a regular schedule of plays, dance performances, and musical performances. Top-caliber orchestras, musicians, and dancers perform year round.
