a. Call Schedule

Our residency program has incorporated a night float system for all four years. We are in full compliance with the ACGME work hour requirements.

b. Vacations

Residents are granted four weeks of vacation in any one year period.

c. Stipend

PGY-I - $47,891.00
PGY-II - $51,136.00
PGY-III - $54,267.00
PGY-IV -$57,436.00

d. Holidays, Compensation Days, and Interview Days

The residency program in obstetrics and gynecology allows the resident off for typical government holidays. In addition, residents asked to work during these holidays are given a compensation day off (or compensation pay) in return for their commitment. In the PGY-IV year, five interview days are also granted during the year to pursue career opportunities.

e. Maternity and Paternity Leave

The residency program adheres to the policy as stated by the Committee of Interns and Residents, and allows both maternity and paternity leave.

f. Conferences

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences allows the PGY-IV level resident to participate in one conference which is reimbursed by the Department. The residency program also suports any resident who is invited to present their scholarly activity at a scientific meeting.

g. Outside Employment

Outside employment in the form of "moonlighting" is not allowed by the University.
