Gross and Developmental Anatomy

This year, 160 students completed the Gross and Developmental Anatomy Course. Student performance was excellent. The grade distribution was Honors – 14%, High Pass – 44%, Pass – 32%, Low Pass – 4%, and only one failure. Course evaluations continued to be overwhelmingly positive, with better than 90% of the students indicating the course was well taught, well organized and met the stated objectives.

Our Course continues to evolve into a more clinically-relevant anatomy course. Lectures are presented with more clinical emphasis and include significant use of diagnostic images. Exam questions utilize clinical vignettes similar to the USMLE. Clinicians contribute to our course through lecture and/or lab presentations which assist students in recognizing the clinical relevance of the anatomy they are learning.continue...
