Fellowship

Overview

The subspecialty of rheumatology includes a wide array of autoimmune, inflammatory, and non-inflammatory conditions that affect the musculoskeletal and other organ systems. The purpose of our rheumatology training program is to (1) train fellows to be accomplished practitioners and consultants in the rheumatic diseases and (2) encourage the professional and scholarly attitudes and approaches of a competent subspecialist that are needed to maintain an understanding of current concepts in rheumatology as advances occur.

This rheumatology fellowship program was reaccredited in 2007 by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and was commended for its demonstrated substantial compliance with the ACGME's requirements for graduate medical education without citations. ┬áThis fellowship has been reaccredited in all subsequent years.  There is one PGY 4 and one PGY 5 fellow.
