Funding
Full-time PhD candidates in all of our programs receive:
- Competitive Stipends* for their entire training period
- Health Insurance
- Tuition payment
* Periodically stipend levels are increased both for newly admitted and continuing students, in order to provide the level of support for full-time studies. For students enrolled in the GSBS at RWJMS, all support is for education and research training; students are generally not supported as teaching assistants. However, opportunities for training and experience in teaching are available to students. |

The Foundation of UMDNJ Society of Scholars also provides merit scholarships on top of the established first year support to provide an allowance for education expenses of our scholars.
