Elective in Pre-Hospital Care / EMS

We are excited to provide an outstanding Pre-Hospital care (EMS) elective rotation to medical students under the leadership of Dr. Mark Merlin, Medical Director Emergency Medical Services. These activities are flexible depending upon the student interests. This elective may be scheduled for 2-4 weeks and is open to third and fourth year medical students. Elective in Emergency Department Bedside Ultrasound

Under the leadership of our Director of Emergency Ultrasound, Dr. Rajesh Geria, students taking this elective have a unique opportunity to learn how to perform and interpret bedside ultrasound in the Emergency Department clinical setting. This experience is only offered at a handful of universities across the nation. The elective may be scheduled for 2 or 4 weeks and is limited to two fourth year students per block.
