Summer Science Scholars Academy
The Summer Science Scholars Academy (S³A) is a fee-based four-week program designed for high-achieving students and/or those in gifted-and-talented programs.
Curriculum
The curriculum focuses on exploring the human body through a series of lectures, organ laboratories and clinical experiences.

- Anatomy
- Neuroscience
- BioPharm
- Research Methods in Health
Additional Seminars
In addition to the Core Courses, the programs offer seminars on health careers, workshops on study strategies, college preparatory exercises and clinical practicums.
Eligibility
- students entering grades 11 or 12, S³A Alumni
- minimum grade point average of 3.5 out of a 4.0 scale
- previous health or science summer program participation

Application Requirements
Students wishing to apply for the Summer Science Scholars Academy must submit the following:
- online application
- essay
- official high school transcript
- letter of recommendation from a high school teacher or guidance counselor (not applicable to S3A Alumni)
Tuition
- $2800 for S³A alumni
- $3000 for non-S³A alumni
*Note: Scholarship funding may be available depending on resources.
Housing
Housing is available on a limited basis for an additional fee of $221.55 per week. Students reside on the Rutgers University Busch Campus adjacent to Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Parking
Parking is available for an additional fee based on residency status:
- Commuters - $1.00 for duration of program
- On-Campus Residents - $85.60 for duration of program
