PhD Curriculum
First Year Students entering via the Joint Program in Molecular Biosciences take a series of core courses in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology and Genetics. During the first year students also take rotations in at least three different labs. At the end of the year, students take the written part of a two-part qualifying exam. The basic first year curriculum may be modified on an individual basis for transfer students, students in special fellowship programs or students who need remedial course work. Such remedial courses will not count in fulfilling degree requirements. |
