Case Medical Center - Timothy L. Stephens Jr., MD, Orthopaedic Clerkship and Fellowship
Description: The University Hospitals Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is now accepting applications for the Timothy L. Stephens Jr., MD, Orthopaedic Clerkship and Fellowship program. Each year, beginning in 2009, one highly competitive medical student who has successfully completed his or her second year of medical school and has an interest in orthopaedics will be selected to participate in this intensive year-long clinical and basic science mentoring program.
The Stephens Fellow will be embedded with the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at University Hospitals Case Medical Center. The clerkship and fellowship program provides exposure to musculoskeletal research, clinical investigation, community-based medicine and multiple subspecialty lectures as well as crucial orthopaedic experience working with the underserved population of Cleveland. Funds have been set aside to assist the selected fellow with housing, meals, and travel.
