The initial two-week time block focuses on generic skills needed by physicians to make diagnostic and therapeutic decisions for patients presenting with problems in any organ system. Major topics are introductory pharmacology, laboratory medicine, and clinical decision-making. Skills will be applied in two problem-solving sessions at the end of each week.
