Missions and Goals
The Women’s Health Outreach Project (HOP) Clinic provides free medical care to underserved and uninsured women in Camden. The goal of the clinic is not only to provide care to patients who are otherwise neglected in the healthcare system, but also to train medical students to experience continuity of care with their patients and allow them to explore future career options in Women’s health.
As the newest of the HOP clinics to open, Women’s HOP held its first session in June of 2005. Functioning separately from the Adult HOP clinic, the Women’s clinic provides focused attention and gynecological care. We strive to reach patients from all neighborhoods in Camden, and work hard to recruit patients for primary and secondary healthcare. In the event that the Women’s HOP clinic cannot accommodate a service or procedure, the women are referred to Cooper Hospital for additional treatment.
