Community Supports

Person-Centered Approaches and Supports

The Boggs Center provides community training and technical assistance to service providers, state workers, families, and individuals with disabilities on the topics of person-centered approaches and supports.  Under contract with the New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities, The Boggs Center provides training sessions and courses for Direct Support Professionals, Supervisors, and others on the development and implementation of person-centered supports.  Additional training topics and other presentations addressing healthy relationships, community connection, and other areas related to meeting the needs and preferences of people with disabilities and their families are often provided by Boggs Center staff. 

The  Boggs Center coordinates, a web site with resources for person-centered planning, educational materials about community supports for people with developmental disabilities, and information about supports and services available throughout the state.
