November 1, 2013 - Duration 2.75 hrs

Marklyn Champagne, RN, MSW
Creative Therapies
East Greenwich, RI

Enjoying happy, healthy relationships is a complex endeavor, and more so for individuals with developmental disabilities. Differences in experience, lack of opportunity, and vulnerability to abuse all contribute to the need for education and support. This presentation will define different kinds of relationships for a variety of age groups and in different settings.  It will provide specific behavioral skills and strategies necessary for being with people. Examples of a range of relationships from healthy to abusive will be explored and addressed.

The audio recording and handout is only available by ordering through The Boggs Center.
