with Developmental Disabilities and Their Families

December 13, 2012 - Duration 2.75 hrs

A Life Course framework focuses on the life of an individual over time, not just one specific phase of life. As many individuals with developmental disabilities are living with their families long term and directing their own supports, there is an increased need to utilize generic community resources as well as specialized disability services. This session will present a Life Course framework and strategies for helping individuals and families plan, access, coordinate, and blend the specialized and community supports they need.
