Volunteers Needed for Quit Smoking Study: Selegiline Clinical Trial
UMDNJ-RobertWoodJohnsonMedicalSchool, Department of Psychiatry in New Brunswick is conducting a study comparing an investigational medication vs. placebo to help people quit smoking.
Eligibility Requirements:Volunteers must be 18 years or older and smoking at least 15 cigarettes a day for the last five years.
Compensation:All office visits, medical evaluations, medical care and investigational medications related to the study will be provided at no cost to participants. You will be compensated for your time. Study Director:Dr. Jill Williams, RobertWoodJohnsonMedicalSchool

Smokers with Schizophrenia or Bipolar Disorder needed for research study:Nicotine Intake in Smokers with Schizophrenia is a four-year NIMH funded project designed to study differences in the way people smoke cigarettes. If you smoke more than 10 cigarettes per day, you may qualify to participate in a study looking at cigarette-puffing behavior and nicotine intake. This study does not require subjects to quit smoking. Participants are paid $100.00 for their participation in the study, which takes about 2 -3 days to complete.
